Building the foundation for a family donut business.

The Challenge

JoHo Donuts approached us to build a marketing strategy and brand for their new family enterprise that would appeal to a large variety of audiences and support multiple revenue streams.

The Solution

We crafted a plan with the JoHo family to build three revenue streams for their donut business - public events and fairs, private events, and merchandise. We wanted their designs to be versatile so they could capture attention at busy fairs and present simply at private events. We knew the primary logo should act as a standalone merch design for shirts, hoodies, bags, and more so JoHo’s loyal fans could easily promote the brand, and the family could create a stylish uniform while working at the cart.

The Executions

We designed a full brand for JoHo, including a logo system, color palette, and font pairings. Then, we applied the updated branding to everything JoHo needed, including their social media, website, cart graphics (vinyl wrap), sandwich boards, and merchandise. We also captured web and social images at their first “test run” of the cart.

To build the technical side of their revenue streams, we assisted in their POS setup with Square, including Square for Restaurants (for cart orders), Square for Retail (for merchandise sales), and Square Scheduling (for private events).

The JoHo brand is fun and vibrant to appeal to a wide variety of audiences and grab attention as people walk by.

We designed a series of sandwich boards with interchangeable sides so JoHo could display their pricing for fairs and festivals or just their flavor menu at private, prepaid events. We also created a large front wrap for the JoHo cart and several social media graphics to promote their first events.

We built the JoHo website using Square Website Builder integrated with JoHo’s Square for Restaurants POS so they could display their menu. We also integrated Square for Retail and designed merchandise with Printful to allow JoHo to drop ship merchandise sold at the cart or on the website.
